Responsible Gaming
Version: 1.0 | Last Updated: 3 November 2026
1. Our Commitment
At SpinBoss, we believe that gaming should always be an enjoyable, recreational activity. We are fully committed to promoting safer gambling across every aspect of our platform. That commitment means providing meaningful, practical tools that help our players stay in control, maintaining transparent communication about the risks associated with gambling, and taking decisive action whenever we identify signs of potential harm.
We recognise that a small number of people may develop difficulties with gambling. Our duty is not simply to react when problems arise, but to take a proactive role in preventing harm before it escalates. This page explains the safeguards we offer, how to access them, and where to find independent support. We encourage every player to read this document carefully alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, both of which contain additional provisions relevant to player welfare and data handling.
Our responsible gaming programme is not a passive compliance exercise. It represents a substantive, ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of everyone who chooses to play with us.
2. Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always easy to identify, particularly from the inside. Being honest with yourself about your relationship with gambling is the first and most important step toward addressing any difficulties that may arise. The checklist below sets out common indicators that gambling may be moving beyond healthy recreation. If you find that several of these statements apply to you, we strongly encourage you to use the tools described in Section 3 and to seek support from one of the organisations listed in Section 6.
2.1 Warning Signs Checklist
Please consider honestly whether any of the following apply to you:
- Chasing losses: You find yourself placing additional bets specifically to recover money you have already lost, rather than for entertainment.
- Exceeding your budget: You regularly spend more on gambling than you intended or had set aside for the purpose, and find it difficult to stop once you have started.
- Preoccupation with gambling: Thoughts about gambling — planning sessions, reliving past bets, or working out how to fund future play — dominate your daily thinking.
- Borrowing or misusing money: You have borrowed money, sold possessions, or redirected funds meant for essential bills or household expenses in order to gamble.
- Neglecting responsibilities: Gambling is causing you to miss work, neglect family commitments, or withdraw from activities and relationships you previously valued.
- Concealment: You feel the need to hide the extent of your gambling from friends or family, or you are dishonest about the amount of money or time you spend.
- Using gambling to cope: You turn to gambling as a way to manage stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, or other difficult emotions, rather than as entertainment.
- Failed attempts to stop: You have tried to cut down or stop gambling on more than one occasion but have been unable to sustain that decision despite genuinely wanting to.
- Restlessness or irritability when not gambling: You experience significant discomfort, agitation, or mood changes when you are unable to gamble or are trying to reduce your activity.
- Gambling with essential funds: You have used money set aside for rent, utilities, food, or other necessities to fund gambling sessions.
If you recognise several of the above patterns, please do not wait. Reach out to our support team at support@gaiasglade.co.uk or contact one of the dedicated organisations listed in Section 6 immediately.
3. Player Protection Tools
SpinBoss provides a comprehensive suite of protection tools designed to help you maintain control over your gambling activity. All tools are available directly within your account settings or by contacting our support team. Changes to protective limits — such as reductions — take effect immediately. Increases to limits are subject to a mandatory 24-hour cooling period before they become active, ensuring that impulsive decisions do not override considered choices.
3.1 Deposit Limits
You may set a maximum deposit limit on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once a limit is in place, you will not be able to deposit more than the specified amount within the chosen period, regardless of the payment method used. To set or adjust your deposit limit, navigate to the Responsible Gaming section of your account. Any request to reduce a deposit limit takes effect at once. Any request to increase a deposit limit will only become active after a 24-hour reflection period has elapsed, during which you may cancel the request.
3.2 Session Time Limits
You may set a maximum duration for individual playing sessions. Once the time limit you have chosen is reached, you will receive a clear notification and will be logged out of your account automatically. This tool is designed to help you manage the amount of time you spend on our platform, independent of your financial activity. Session time limits can be set in increments of 30 minutes up to a maximum of eight hours per session.
3.3 Loss Limits
A loss limit caps the total net losses you may incur over a defined period — daily, weekly, or monthly. Once your net losses reach the threshold you have set, further wagering will be suspended until the period resets. As with deposit limits, reductions apply immediately; increases require a 24-hour waiting period before becoming active.
3.4 Reality Checks
Reality check notifications are on-screen reminders that appear at intervals you choose — for example, every 30, 60, or 90 minutes — while you are actively playing. Each notification displays how long you have been in your current session and gives you the option to continue, review your account, or log out. This feature is intended to counteract the immersive nature of gaming by ensuring you remain aware of time passing.
3.5 Cooling-Off Periods
If you feel that you need a short break from gambling without committing to a full exclusion, you may request a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 48 hours, one week, one month, or three months. During a cooling-off period your account will be suspended and you will not be able to log in, deposit, or place bets. Cooling-off periods take effect immediately upon request and cannot be shortened once activated. You may request a cooling-off period by contacting our support team or through your account settings.
3.6 Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is a more permanent measure for players who feel they need a significant break from gambling. SpinBoss offers self-exclusion periods of six months, one year, three years, or five years, as well as an indefinite option. During the exclusion period:
- Your account will be immediately closed and all access suspended.
- Any pending promotional communications will cease.
- You will not be permitted to re-open an account on this platform during the exclusion term.
- Any remaining balance will be returned to you in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
To request self-exclusion, please contact us at support@gaiasglade.co.uk with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request". We will act on your request promptly. We also recommend registering with GAMSTOP (www.gamstop.co.uk), the national self-exclusion scheme, which will extend your exclusion across all UKGC-participating operators simultaneously.
3.7 Account Closure
At any time, and for any reason, you may request the permanent closure of your SpinBoss account. Unlike a cooling-off or self-exclusion, a permanent closure does not expire. If you wish to close your account, please contact support@gaiasglade.co.uk. We may ask you to confirm your identity and the reason for closure to ensure the action is in your best interest.
4. Tips for Responsible Gambling
The following guidelines are intended to help you maintain a healthy and enjoyable relationship with gambling. Keeping these principles in mind every time you play can significantly reduce the risk of gambling causing harm to your finances, relationships, or wellbeing.
- Set a strict budget before you play and treat it as an entertainment expense, not a financial strategy. Never gamble with money that is earmarked for rent, bills, food, or other essential needs.
- Treat gambling as entertainment, not income. The house always holds an advantage over time. Never rely on gambling as a source of income or a way to resolve financial difficulties.
- Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen at planned intervals. Fatigue and prolonged exposure can impair judgement and make it harder to stick to your limits.
- Never chase losses. If you have reached your loss limit for the session, accept that outcome and stop. Chasing losses typically leads to larger losses and heightened emotional distress.
- Avoid gambling under the influence. Alcohol and other substances impair the decision-making process and can lead to bets you would not otherwise place.
- Balance gambling with other leisure activities. If gambling is the only form of recreation you engage in, it may be becoming disproportionately significant in your life.
- Use the tools available to you. Proactively set deposit, loss, and session limits before you begin playing — not after a problem has already developed.
- Talk to someone. If you are concerned about your gambling behaviour, speaking openly with a trusted friend, family member, or professional can be the most effective first step.
5. Protection of Minors
SpinBoss is strictly an adult gambling service. The minimum age to register and gamble on our platform is 18 years old. We apply robust age verification procedures at the point of registration and may request additional documentation at any time to confirm a player's age and identity. Accounts where age cannot be satisfactorily verified will be suspended pending investigation, and any funds deposited by an underage player will be returned without exception.
We strongly encourage parents and guardians to take active steps to prevent minors from accessing online gambling sites. The following third-party filtering tools can help restrict access to gambling content on shared or household devices:
- GamBan – A comprehensive blocking tool that prevents access to online gambling sites across all devices on which it is installed (www.gamban.com).
- Gamblock – Software that blocks access to gambling sites for players who wish to restrict their own or a minor's access (www.gamblock.com).
- NetNanny – A parental control solution that allows content filtering across a wide range of categories, including gambling (www.netnanny.com).
- Bark – A monitoring and filtering application suitable for families managing multiple devices and users.
If you suspect that a minor has registered or is using an account on our platform, please report this immediately to support@gaiasglade.co.uk so that we can take immediate action. We take all such reports extremely seriously and will investigate without delay.
6. Support Resources
